Wapsi Ostrich Herl is often used to create a fluffy body effect on nymphs and dry flies. Ostrich Herl offers more lifelike and animated movement than peacock herl. The stiffer stem of ostrich herl also makes it great substitute for marabou on wooly bugger patterns, this keeps the tail from collapsing. Ostrich Herl is often used for tying callibaetis nymphs, streamers, midges, damsel flies, water boatman, scuds, tags on salmon flies and emerger patterns.
